I have a dog who developed a MRSA infection following obstruction surgery. I became so paranoid about germs, I had to scrub the dog's crate with a solution that used silver as a component of the spray to kill the MRSA germs. For those of you unfamiliar with this, MRSA is an antibiotic resistant germ that has the capacity to react to new antibiotics thrown at it and develop an immunity to those new antibiotics. I get a medical MRSA newsletter that has the latest attempts to find other ways to...

Copper - Your Body’s Protective and Anti-Aging Metal

skinbiologywebmaster ·
If you rely on popular articles and health guidelines to provide you with health-relevant information – beware! Often it takes years before scientific research data make their way through bureaucratic hurdles and become available to general public. This is why, despite abundant scientific evidence, copper, an absolutely essential element, is often considered not important and even dangerous. As a result, many people have no idea that they can be at risk of copper deficiency which may put...

GHK and DNA: Resetting the Human Genome to Health

skinbiologywebmaster ·
Abstract: During human aging there is an increase in the activity of inflammatory, cancer promoting, and tissue destructive genes plus a decrease in the activity of regenerative and reparative genes. The human blood tripeptide GHK possesses many positive effects but declines with age. It improves wound healing and tissue regeneration (skin, hair follicles, stomach and intestinal linings, and boney tissue), increases collagen and glycosaminoglycans, stimulates synthesis of decorin, increases...

GHK Anti-Pain (Analgesic)

skinbiologywebmaster ·
GHK- Anti-Pain (Analgesic) and Anti-Anxiety (Anxiolytic) Actions 1. Opiate peptides help with wound healing and pain control. This appears to be mediated through the opioid mu1 recpetors. 2. GHK possesses both wound healing and anti-pain activities. Based on Broad Institute data, GHK increases expression of the opioid mu1 gene OPRM1 by 13.9 fold. It also increases gene expression of the cannabinoid pain-reducing gene CNR1 by 2.7 fold (average of +3.1 and +2.3). 3. This anti-pain and wound...

Genetic Piano Keys? Could GHK Be the Answer to Retuning You Back to Health?

Skin Biology ·
The Piano Key Theory of Human Aging The main cause of human aging appears to be that the genes lose their optimal pattern of UP and DOWN settings (age 20-25). This is like piano keys. When the piano is new, it plays beautiful music, but with time the piano keys lose their proper tuning as the music is imperfect. Likewise, with time human genes lose their youthful settings and the diseases and conditions of aging set in. GHK, which was discovered during biochemical studies of human aging,...
