Re: dosing for injections for antiaging
Hi Dr. Pickart, I've been using GHK-Cu for 4 weeks at 5mg daily. I've had great effects including skin, cognitive function and hair growth, it's pretty incredible! I have a quick question that I'm hoping you can answer. You recommend the purchase of GHK-Cu through Ceretropic. I'm curious what dose people use for anti aging effects. I'm concerned of copper toxicity and taking to much of GHK-Cu. I've spoken with you on the phone and had a great conversation with you! You're done amazing work...

Hello Dr. Pickart, I’ve been following your work for years with much interest You mention; ”The only issue is to keep copper and zinc in a rough balance of about 5 parts zinc to 1 part copper.” In maintaining proper zinc/copper balance are oral zinc supplements suitable for raising zinc levels? Thank you, Adam

Dear SEIHAA : Thanks for posting your questions! We are sure Dr. Pickart will post his thoughts on how this could be used in practical application. But actually you'll find some excellent information at: GHK and Sun Science ( suntanscience.com ) On Dr. Pickart's page outlining his Patent: Compositions & Methods for Suntanning and Protection , just look at the Examples I-IX . That is where Dr. Pickart mentions how he think GHK can be used to accomplish some great effects for the skin.

Dr. Pickart, My name is Mike Smalling, and I’m currently a grad student at Louisiana Tech University studying in molecular science. I have read many of your papers, and became very interested in the tripeptide GHK through them. I have also read Dr. Campbell’s work on COPD, and Dr. Lane’s work with SPARC as well as others. I intended to do a master’s thesis on research of the tripeptide, but after I had gotten through the initial research, my advisors here realized I was in an area they were...

Re: Dosing
Dr. Pickart says: "My earlier estimates of the amount of GHK-Cu needed for human effects were far too high. Since we are in the USA, we only have good reports on GHK-Cu working well at 1 to 7 mgs per day by injection. The SuperSmart GHK-Cu has Linguinal 5 mg GHK-Cu and we have a number of good reports on that product. We don't have much information on the GHK-Cu nasal spray which is sold in Europe and the Middle East."

Re: Does Magnesium Citrate interfer with Copper Absorption?
Dear Rossana, I see no problem with this. Copper and magnesium have very different binding affinities. There is great confusion about copper in the blood. Ceruloplasmin is an anti-oxidant and often high in diseases. But copper 2+ from the diet is taken up by albumin for transport to the cells. Best wishes, Loren Pickart

Re: Copper Peptide Skin Solution That Works
Thank you for posting your question - We are happy to reply back! We are checking with Dr. Pickart to see if there might possibly be any interaction if you plan on adding GHK-Cu to this product. Keep in mind that for a finished product however, Dr. Pickart never suggests to go beyond 3% GHK-Cu as the final concentration. There simply would be no need to and Less is More when dealing with potent cosmeceuticals. Best Wishes, -Skin Biology

Re: GHK & DNA & You
I am sure either Jessica or Dr. Pickart will answer this more fully in the future, but supplementing with copper will not increase GHK in our bloodstream. Supplementing copper is great for health benefits (check out our forum about copper and disease.) but does not affect the amount of GHK Copper in the blood. Although related, those are two separate things. What would be needed is a supplement of GHK Copper. This does not exist at the moment. Dr. Pickart would love to have this be a daily...

GHK-Cu In relation to Wound Healing
Dr. Pickart had me post this for your reading enjoyment. In 1984, I observed that GHK-Cu possesses a mild antioxidant activity similar to the enzyme superoxide dismutase, which manifests itself as a calming of red and irritated skin. Steve Aust’s lab at Utah State University discovered that GHK-Cu blocks the damage-induced release of oxidizing iron molecules from ferritin. Further discoveries followed. Vinci et al. at the University of Catalina in Italy reported that GHK-Cu blocks tissue...
