Re: dosing for injections for antiaging

Dr. Loren Pickart ·
From Reddit OK so GHK-Cu is weird. Yesterday I injected 2mg subQ, can't really say if I noticed much, but this morning I injected 4mg subQ and like all my inflammation disappeared. This 4mg was stronger than the highest ibuprofen dose I've ever taken regarding inflammation reduction. (like 1.2 grams ibuprofen). About an hour later I worked out and I've had the strongest pump/soreness I've ever had regarding lifting. Also I'm in a ridiculously good mood and don't feel sluggish mentally...

I don't know of any side effects at the dosages typically used which are 1 to 7 mgs daily. In one kilogram amounts, GHK-Cu costs about $10 a gram or $0.10 per milligram. But we have been under FDA pressure for years about the copper peptides and can say little. We cannot say what all the other sellers of copper peptides say about the actions of copper peptides. I have been told many times by FDA people that we have too much science. SuperSmart sells a sublingual form of 5 mgs GHK-Cu but,...

Re: Copper Misconceptions

Jessica ·
Dear Beth, Many of our clients have emailed us with concerns about the safety of copper. Excessive copper has been blamed for many diseases – Alzheimer's, heart disease, cancer, etc. The problem is that most of this comes from data on blood plasma copper and diseases. But usually, high blood plasma copper is associated with low tissue copper. Most plasma copper (60%) is locked in proteins such as in ceruloplasmin - an acute phase reactant that rises with stress and disease, and other...

Is the FDA aware of this? If so, why haven't they approved it and allow it to start being used to help patients? COPD is 24/7 suffering from not being able to get enough oxygen to the brain. GHK has a potential for treating several diseases and in all the research on the molecule, no negative actions have ever been reported. But I doubt if it will ever used in the USA because of its low cost. Think of the new $1,000 a day drug for the treatment of hepatitis C of the liver. The best possibility is that it be used as a nutritional supplement and encapsulated in liposomes for oral use. It should fit the legal definition of a nutritional supplement. But GHK may be used in countries...

This information is for the use of medical researchers and persons interested in health sciences. It must be emphasized that GHK and other copper binding peptides have not been tested on human emphysema and COPD and are not approved for such uses. One way that may help with COPD is to take 6 mg/day of copper glycinate after a meal. Please let me know if you hear of any good results with this system. My hope is that physicians outside of the USA start testing GHK-copper on patients. My fear is that the big pharma will replace GHK with an expensive synthetic drug filled with side effects. The person's lungs might work better, but their hair will fall out, they will have constant nausea, and their cognitive ability will plummet.

If anything GHK declines with age and should be used to bring the levels back to a more normal state to facilitate normal healthy healing. Big pharma will want to alter it to...

I don't think it will cause any problems. We just are somewhat over-cautious on newer products. Crepey Skin Escape is receiving great reviews. As for DMSO, I still have not found any real evidence for toxicities. Mechanics have used it for many decades to remove grease from auto parts.

I’ve also tested various oils such as jojoba or, even better for hair, castor oil, and they come at a neutral ph as well. Will that be enough to consider them safe for the GHK-Cu? With more research I’ve understood you do need to dilute the pure powder in order to add it in drops to the final medium (cream or oil). Am I correct? Copper toxicity does worry...

I am sure either Jessica or Dr. Pickart will answer this more fully in the future, but supplementing with copper will not increase GHK in our bloodstream. Supplementing copper is great for health benefits (check out our forum about copper and disease.) but does not affect the amount of GHK Copper in the blood. US Department of Agriculture studies found the best biochemical anti-oxidants results in humans were with 5 to 6 mgs of supplemental copper daily. More copper will help to some extent. The copper transport molecules are only about 50% loaded with copper in humans and more copper will increase their activity. The Recommended Daily Intake (RDA) of copper is 0.7 mgs daily but this is far too low. A human study found the a group of 24 men on a diet of 1.03 mgs total nutritional copper daily...
